FAQs

What is epoxy?

Epoxy is a durable resin that creates strong, protective coatings for surfaces.

What surfaces can you apply epoxy on?

It can be, depending on the finish. We offer anti-slip additives—great for driveways, garages, and areas exposed to water—to increase traction without affecting the look.

We install epoxy on garage floors, driveways, patios, indoor flooring, countertops, commercial spaces, and workshops. If the surface is solid and properly prepped, epoxy can bond to it.

With proper maintenance, a professional epoxy coating can last 10–20 years or more, depending on the surface and traffic level. Industrial or garage installs tend to last the longest.

Most standard jobs take 1–2 days, plus an additional 24–48 hours of curing before light foot traffic and 72 hours before parking vehicles. Countertops typically cure faster.

What colors and styles are available?

We offer a full range of solids, metallics, quartz, flake systems, marbled designs, high-gloss finishes, and custom blends. If you can imagine it, we can create it.

Will epoxy crack, peel, or chip?

Not when properly installed. Our process includes diamond grinding, moisture testing, and professional-strength primers to ensure exceptional adhesion. Epoxy is highly resistant to impact, chemicals, and heavy use.

How do I maintain my epoxy surface?

Maintenance is straight forward:

  • Sweep regularly

  • Mop with mild soap

  • Avoid harsh acids

  • For garage floors, place mats under tires to reduce staining

Epoxy requires far less maintenance than concrete or tile.

Can epoxy be installed over damaged concrete?

Yes—small cracks, chips, and pits can be repaired before installation. Severe structural damage may need additional prep. We evaluate and repair the surface before applying epoxy.

Will the epoxy yellow over time?

We use UV-stable epoxy and polyaspartic topcoats designed to resist yellowing. Outdoor surfaces exposed to direct sunlight are protected with additional UV-resistant layers.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the size, level of preparation, epoxy type, and design. We provide free quotes and can tailor solutions to match your budget and style.

Is epoxy safe for kitchens and food-prep areas?

Yes. Once cured, epoxy is non-toxic, seamless, and easy to sanitize, making it perfect for countertops, kitchens, and commercial prep areas.

Can you customize designs or logos?

Absolutely! We can incorporate metallic swirls, color blends, patterns, logos, flakes, and custom effects to create a unique look for your home or business.

“We updated our kitchen with LiquidShield Epoxy and the results are incredible. The custom swirl design matched our cabinets perfectly, and everyone who visits thinks we installed brand-new quartz.”
